LPG
Liquefied petroleum Gas (LPG, LP gas, or condensate) is a fuel gas made of petrol which contains a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases, most commonly propane, butane, and propylene. LPG is used as a fuel gas in heating appliances, cooking equipments, and vehicles. It is increasingly used as an aerosol propellant and a refrigerant, replacing chlorofluorocarbons in an effort to reduce damage to the ozone layer. When specifically used as a vehicle fuel, it is often referred to as auto gas. In the northern hemisphere winter, the mixes contain more propane, while in summer, they contain more butane In the United States. Propylene, butylenes and various other hydrocarbons are usually also present in small concentrations such as C2H6, CH4, and C3H8. HD-5 limits the amount of propylene that can be placed in LPG to 5% and is utilized as an auto gas specification. LPG is prepared by refining petroleum or "wet" natural gas, and is almost entirely derived from fossil fuel sources, being manufactured during the refining of petroleum (crude oil), or extracted from petroleum or natural gas streams as they emerge from the ground. LPG was first produced in 1910 by Walter O. Snelling, and the first commercial products appeared in 1912. It currently provides about 3% of all energy consumed, and burns relatively cleanly with no soot / smoke and very few sulfur emissions. As it is a gas, it does not pose ground or water pollution hazards. Its boiling point is below room temperature, LPG will evaporate quickly at normal temperatures and pressures and is usually supplied in pressurized steel vessels. LPG is heavier than air, unlike natural gas, and thus will flow along floors and tend to settle in low spots, such as basements. There are two main dangers to this. The first is a possible explosion if the mixture of LPG and air is within the explosive limits and there is an ignition source. The second is suffocation due to LPG displacing air, causing a decrease in oxygen concentration. LPG in Pakistan is a naturally occurring product of natural gas extraction process/fields. It is also an automatic result of the oil refining production process. As a low carbon, low polluting fossil fuel, it is recognized by the governments around the world for the contribution of fuel, it improves indoor and outdoor air quality and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. The pace of Urbanization growth in Pakistan is on a very low level comparatively the rest of world, but rural settlement is still account for 70% of the Pakistan territory. Most of these areas cannot benefit from piped natural gas and other traditional methods of energy source are often expensive and accountable to disruptions. Taking this into account, LPG is an ideal power source for a rural population, either as a primary energy source or, increasingly, in combination with renewable fuels. The vision of Gasman is provide the safest, most reliable and most responsive LPG service to the Customers in the Pakistan. Gasman has a sustainable LPG quota arrangement with OGDCL different fields and Byco refinery Karachi. The company also purchases imported LPG from different importer to satisfy the market demand. Gasmen have 20 LPG Bowzer fleet for LPG logistic all over from Pakistan. Due to non-availability of any alternate energy source in the adjoining areas of entire NWFP and Hilly areas which becomes almost inaccessible especially in winter consequently, Gasman planned LPG marketing company through which LPG could be supplied on regular basis preferably in Malakand KPK and Northern Areas, AJK and Northern Punjab. The company installed an LPG plant in a feasible zone from where LPG could be supplied to all above-mentioned territories.
